Course Description
This course explores a review of various noninvasive nonpharmacological forms of treatment for chronic pain. It focuses on five common chronic pain conditions in adults including chronic low back pain, chronic neck pain, osteoarthritis (knee, hip, hand), fibromyalgia, and chronic tension headaches. The course gives an overview of the benefits and harms of different types of noninvasive nonpharmacological forms of treatment. The types of treatment discussed include exercise, mind-body practices, psychological therapies, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, mindfulness practices, manual therapies, physical modalities and acupuncture.
